Home Decor : I dream of owning a dreamy scandi-style house one day and preferably by a lake side. Until I am able to afford one, and announce my purchase to you all, I live vicariously through these home tours I am invited to by my readers.
The Denmark resident has installed double glazed windows with perfect insulation. The charm of this home is the old style fireplace. A no heavy curtains policy with white walls have kept the place light and full of life.
The house is a beautiful blend of Scandinavian-inspired simplicity, and softer touches of color and details which make the home feel so warm and welcoming.
And the house also works brilliantly as a workplace with a cleverly made wall for books and a working shelf with it. The carpet thrown casually markes the boundary between living room and home-office.
Simple Danish Furniture with a baby cot just next to the huge windows make a delightful experience. The mum and dad pictures with simple frames adorn the walls.
It is the high walls with cornices made that create the ultimate effect of air, light and calmness through out the house. The idea behind this clever interiors is to have sunshine from all corners of the house and the sunlight to dance around the home till sunset.
The clutterless approach of this couple makes you feel balmy. The meditating effect of the house makes you feel tranquil yet energetic & fresh.
I feel so lucky to have visited such a beautiful home of an admirable couple. It inspires me and I only have one line to express my feelings “This home feels so calm”.
