For 9 whole days, DDW 2016 will again boast of 100 locations, presenting the processes, experiments and ideas, answers and solutions thought up by more than 2400 designers from Netherlands and various parts of the world.
October 22 through October 30, 2016 Eindhoven will again amaze, surprise and astonish you with world class designs showcased in the 15th Edition of Dutch Design Week. This will be the place to ask yourself new questions, draw inspiration for your own answers and allow the power of design to convince you.
Exhibitions, activities, DDW music, conferences, head scratching debates, food and much more will leave your design hunger satiated. The diversity in the themes covered in the projects vary from Bio design, digital, future concepts, health future, living, materials, food designs, social designs to sustainable designs.
The 14th edition this year recorded 275,000 visitors. A valuable contribution to the week was the new Veemgebouw location, where Stimuleringsfonds Creatieve Industrie provided a good idea of the new generation (digital) designers and architects with the intrinsically strong exhibition ‘In No Particular Order’, the exhibition Dutch Design Awards showed an overview of the best Dutch design of the past year and the presentation ‘Hands Off: New Dutch Design at the Confluence of Technology & Craft’ by the Museum of Craft and Design (SF) and curator Zahid Sardar. click here to read full article….
