There are many staple dishes which are a “must order” items when we go to any restaurant with friends or family. Dum Aloo is one such dish that has to be ordered.
There are many variations which are available across many Indian states like Kashmiri Dum Aloo, Punjabi Dum Aloo, Bengali Dum Aloo and you can even prepare Dum aloo in UP cooking style without any onion and garlic etc. Kashmiri Dum Aloo are more spicy and hot than other dum aloo recipes.
Dum Aloo dish has a slightly tangy flavor, which the dish gets from tomatoes and at the same time sweeter due to onions. It has an explosion of various tastes from different spices used while preparation.
